Core Values & Beliefs:
THE BIBLE: We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God - a "lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path."
SIN: We believe that EVERY person has worth as a creation of God, but that "all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory."
JESUS CHRIST: We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and rose from the dead.
SALVATION: We believe that anyone desiring to accept Christ into their life must repent of their sin, confess their faith, and be baptized (by immersion) into Him.
THE CHURCH: We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and exists to reach the lost and edify the saved.
JESUS’ RETURN & HEAVEN: We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to this earth and reign in Heaven forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
LEADERSHIP: We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of First Christian Church. We also practice the biblical leadership structure or Elders, Deacons & Ministers.

Our church was started by the sister church, First Christian Church of Lake Wales, FL. Bob Hannon had a vision and was instrumental in getting a church started in Babson Park.
Our first service was held in the library of Babson Park Elementary School, on February 14, 1982. When the library became too small, we moved into the school cafeteria. We had services there for about 4 years.
The Lake Wales church helped us purchase the 3-1/2-acre lot where the church is now. Jack Hall of Lake Wales did the construction work with volunteer labor from our members and other church crews helping us out to get the building finished.
On Christmas Eve 1985 we had our first candlelight service in the new church, even though it was not finished at that time.
The first Sunday service in the new church was February 14, 1986.
In 1996 we purchased a lot next to our property on Alternate 27, for future use.
